The Department of Engineering at the University of Perugia requires students applying for the following bachelor's degree programs:

  • Computer and Electronic Engineering (Ingegneria Informatica ed Elettronica),
  • Mechanical Engineering (Ingegneria Meccanica),
  • Industrial Engineering (Ingegneria Industriale),
  • Engineering Management,

to possess or acquire an adequate initial preparation in mathematics, verbal comprehension, and logic.

In accordance with Article 6 of Law No. 270/2004, an obligatory test has been established to verify these requirements. All students enrolling in the above-mentioned undergraduate engineering programs must take this test.

The academic secretary office checks these requirements by verifying the completion of the mandatory admission test TOLC-I (Test OnLine CISIA - Engineering), administered by the Interuniversity Consortium for Integrated Access Systems (CISIA). The TOLC-I test is valid nationwide at all participating universities. These are individual tests, meaning each student receives a different set of questions, but the difficulty level remains the same

>>>> ADMISSION THRESHOLDS:

  • a minimum score of 14/50, calculated from the combined results of Mathematics, Logic, Science, and Verbal Comprehension (excluding English),
  • with a minimum score of 7/20 in the Mathematics section.

>>>> Test Requirement: Taking the self-assessment test is mandatory. However, the result does not affect enrollment. If the required score is not met, the student will be assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA - "Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi").

>>>> N.B. Passing the test is mandatory for VISA applicants and the result must be uploaded to Universitaly pre-enrolment.
